Skiing with Disabilities and Special Needs in the resort of Pamporovo, Bulgaria

Pamporovo is an excellent resort for beginners and intermediates. The runs are long and wide and consist of mainly blue and red graded pistes, however the red runs feel more like a blue in the French Alps. The chairlifts are particularly beginner friendly as the entry and exit are very slow and forgiving.

There are plenty of non ski activities on offer in Pamporovo - sledging, husky dog rides, swimming, spa, snow tubing, ski-dooing and folk evenings (if you wan to experience the local culture).

Facilities in Pamporovo are excellent and offer great value for money.

When to Visit

The ski season starts 10th December and ends on the 15th April. Quiet periods are 10th - 22nd Dec and the 4th March - 15th April. It is reccommended to visit later in the season for better snow conditions.

Accommodation

Pamporovo has a good selection of hotels that all offer excellent facilities and value for money. The majority of hotels feature swimming and spa facilities. Some also offer self catering apartments.

At the time of writing there is only one hotel that has a fully accessible bathroom. Ski 2 Freedom is working with a local tour operator to help improve this and more information will be provided soon.
