Welcome

Ski 2 Freedom Foundation, an independent non-profit organisation created in 2007, has established itself as a major portal to encourage and promote snow-sport activities for disability and special needs.

Do you dream of snow flakes and magic?

Want to ski, snowboard or just enjoy the mountains?

Nothing is impossible! The mountains welcome everyone… We encourage families to go on a winter holiday together, children and young people to enjoy their independence on the slopes, students to go away with their friends and individuals to travel independently or join up with a group.

Ski 2 Freedom is delighted to help promote the skiing adventure activities organised for groups or individuals - click on Adaptive Ski Events

Ski 2 Freedom passionately believes that taking part in snow-sport activities is not only wonderfully therapeutic but it also greatly improves self-confidence off the slopes too. We want you to experience the exhilaration, joy, challenges and freedom of the mountains.

“People should believe that their children can do anything.   My mum wasn’t sure if I would walk, but she believed in me, and so did my dad and now I can ski!! When I am alone and all by myself sometimes I think I am unlucky, but then I think that at least I can ski so maybe I am lucky. I think Ski 2 Freedom is a good idea to show other people like me how to ski.”

Three years later March 2009 and Hugo’s triumph showing that nothing is impossible……….

" I really wanted to do the Wall. My brothers have done it but I was always told It was too dangerous for me. Carole took me down. She is my ski instructor and she knows me better than anyone. She is the best Ski instructor anyone could wish for. It was quite hard and I fell over a bit, but at the bottom i felt really really good. No one knew if I would be able to walk and now I have done the Wall!"  (The Wall is a piste from the ski resort of Avoriaz, Portes du Soleil)

"I think your website is a good idea to show other people like me how to ski.” Hugo aged 12

Ski 2 Freedom is delighted to offer you information on disabled and adaptive skiing and mountain resorts worldwide.

The mountains are accessible to everyone – some resorts are better suited than others and that is the detailed information Ski 2 Freedom is providing.
