Each of the ski schools or instructors listed offer some type of snow-sport activity for disability or special needs. In some cases they may not have any specialist equipment but can offer excellent tuition or guiding for other needs. In all cases we strongly advise you to make direct contact with the ski school to discuss your particular needs and requirements - they are just waiting to help you!!

Disabled Ski Schools


We are delighted to give you information on ski schools, organisations and mountain guides who offer ski lessons, equipment and other activities in AUSTRIA.  Please be aware that Ski 2 Freedom has not yet visited any resort in Austria and that the information we have is via the facilitators themselves or from other skiers with a disability.  We hope to be able to make our own accreditation during the season.

St Anton


Active Therapy provides a variety of adaptive skiing in St Anton.  The organisation is run by Dominik Jonas who previously worked for Disability Snowsport UK.

No Age or Disability Limits - good age to start skiing is from 4/5 years old upwards and we cater for people with any disability – physical disabilities (amputations, spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, etc.), blind and visually impaired, deaf and hearing impaired, trauma victims (e.g. brain injuries), learning difficulties, down syndrome, autistic, aspergers syndrome, chronic long term illnesses. Skiing with Multiple Sclerosis


Active Therapy in St Anton provide Kate Gordon who has MS with a chance to explore the mountains.
